Pioneer Pass Campground is set in the cool Pinal Mountains. Several hiking trails are within walking distance, including the Squaw Springs Trail which leads to Pinal Peak and the East Mountain Trail.

Two units are Barrier-Free Accessible which are level despite the rest of the campground which has a 5% - 10% slope. These units have raised grills and tables with one wheelchair accessible end. there is a 100 yard level trail that leads to a viewing area. Another short dirt path leads to an accessible restroom.

This campground is reccomended for wheelchair users with proficient mobility.

This is a PACK-IT-IN, PACK-IT-OUT Campground.

Directions:

This site is 9 miles south of Globe. From Globe, follow paved Jess Hayes Road to the junction of Icehouse Canyon Road/Forest Road (FR) 112 and Sixshooter Canyon Road/Forest Road (FR) 222. Continue on FR 112 for 3 miles to the junction of FR 55 and FR 112. Stay to the left
and continue following FR 112 (which soon becomes unpaved) for another 6 miles to the site.
