  This trail meanders along the Mogollon Rim and provides spectacular views overlooking the rim. Interesting rock outcroppings can be seen along the way.

General Notes:
  • The Mogollon Rim is the second most lightning struck area in the world. Take precautions!
  • Get out of the open and off the rim during thunderstorms.
  • Lightning storms are most common during July and August.

Directions:

The main trailhead is located just west of State Highway 260 along Forest Road 300. Forest Road 300 is located approximately 26 miles west of Heber, immediately across from the Rim Visitor Center.
