Located at the upper end of scenic Oak Creek, Pine Flat Campground offers 58 campsites and trailers up to 32' in length. Surrounded by ponderosa pines, Pine Flat is bordered on the west by Oak Creek. Be sure to arrive early and during the week as campgrounds in Oak Creek fill quickly. Although the fishing at Pine Flat does not rival other campgrounds in Oak Creek, some smaller natural rainbow trout may be caught in the headwaters alongside the campground. There is a nice trail that climbs the east rim of the canyon that offers wonderful views of Oak Creek. Showers are not on premesis but are available a mile south at Cave Springs campgrounds for a few bucks a shower.

Just north of Pine flat as you climb the switchbacks out of the canyon there is an Indian trading post that overlooks the north rim of the canyon.
